10th March 2024: Weekly Crypto Trends
Bitcoin and Ethereum make strong gains on the week to make new short term highs; both become short term overbought. Bitcoin tests previous 2021 highs, Ethereum tests resistance at 4000.
Secondary coins also have strong week, with standout gains in Fantom, up 68%, Theta up 49%, Near up 45% and Thorchain up nearly 26%. Cosmos, Fantom, BNB, Near, Polygon, Solana, Thorchain, Polkadot, Decentraland and Theta all make new short term highs.
All Secondary coins, except Monero are in short term uptrends, while 6 coins are also in medium term uptrends. Solana, Chainlink and Thorchain have strongest trends.
Crypto related equities were sharply split on the week but a wide range of performance. Microstrategy was up 32%, making new highs, while Coinbase was up making new short term highs. Marathon was down 13%, Riot down 14% and Hive down 11%.
