22nd July 2024: Weekly Crypto Trends
Bitcoin and Ethereum were sharply higher on the week, by 15% and 12% respectively. Bitcoin now has some resistance at 6700, and Ethereum at 3650.
Secondary coins were also much improved on the week, with gains of 29% in Thorchain, 24% in Near, and 21% in Ripple and Solana. Thorchain has regained support at 4, while Ripple now has support at 0.5. Solana has reasserted medium term uptrends.
The sharp rally in Secondary coins has unwound the oversold position of coins which had fallen sharply in May-June. The trend profile of the coins has not changed, leaving the more positive coins , Near, Solana and BNB in medium term uptrends, with the rest having negative trend scores.
Crypto related equities were also better, with Microstrategy leading way up 27%, followed by Riot at 23% marathon at 19% and Coinbase and Hive at 18%. Microstrategy tests some resistance at 1800, while Hive and Riot form short term bases. Coinbase reasserts uptrends.
