27th April 2024: Weekly Crypto Trends
Bitcoin was little changed on the week, while Ethereum rallied by 2.3%. Both trade mid-range short term.
Secondary coins were mixed on the week, with a standout gain of 23.9% in Near, followed by 15% in Theta.
Many coins including Chainlink, Cardano, Cosmos, Avalanche and Polygon have given up any gains in 2024 and are now back at the bottom of ranges. Solana found support at 125 but may also now form a top.
The trend profile of Secondary coins in the short term has deteriorated significantly with the failure of most rallies. BNB, Near, Fantom, Solana, Doge and Theta retain positive short term trends out of the 18 coins under review.
Crypto related equities had a strong week aided by the 5% rally in the Nasdaq 100. Riot was up by 30.7% finding support at 8, while Marathon rallied by 17.8%, having found support at 14. Both had halved from recent highs. Microstrategy finds support at 1200 and Coinbase at 213.
